HMD Global extends warranty of Nokia smartphones to 60 days due to the COVID-19 outbreak. If the warranty of your Nokia handset expires on May 15, 2020, you can claim warranty until the end of July. The extended warranty offer is applicable only for those smartphones whose warranty expired between March 15 to May 15.
The company took the decision because of the nationwide lockdown in several countries to curb the rapid spread of the Coronavirus. In India, the lockdown exists until May 3, and service centers of the company are closed. Hence, the decision to extend the warranty period will be a big bonus for customers.
The company revealed that the Repair and Returns services are currently experiencing some disruption. Moreover, the warranty on Nokia devices has been extended to 60 days to ensure delivery of the promise.
If you are located in the US and Europe, you can choose to book the smartphones online to avail the warranty service. This is because the company has thrown open the Nokia’s Online Repair and Return Services for the general public. The company will repair and return the smartphone within the estimated timeframe.
