Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 and M2 rumored to receive Android 10 starting June 12

Asus is gearing up to push Android 10 update for the Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 and Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 devices. The company took to Twitter and revealed that the Android 10 update will starting rolling out starting June 12, 2020.

The news assumes importance with Asus Side chanelog reportedly mentioning the arrival of the Android 10 update for the ZenFone Max Pro M1 update. A Telegram channel with the handle @amackPp claims that they have successfully hacked the server-side changelog. The log clearly mentions “Prepare for Android 10 Stable India”, reports PiunikaWeb.

Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 Specifications

The Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 features a 5.99-inch FHD+ display, Snapdragon 636 processor, Adreno 509 graphics loaded with Android 8.1 Oreo. The smartphone is available in 3GB, 4GB and 6GB RAM variants comprising of 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB storage capacities. On the rear, you will find the presence of dual cameras comprising of 13MP and 5MP sensors with f/2.2 and f/2.4 apertures respectively. The 6GB RAM model ships with 16MP primary and 5MP secondary sensors. The front-facing camera offers an 8MP sensor. If you look at the 6GB RAM model, the device includes a 16MP selfie camera. The Max Pro M1 borrows power via a 5000mAh battery.

Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 Specifications

The Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 is equipped with a 6.26-inch FHD+ Corning Gorilla Glass 6 display, Snapdragon 660 processor, Adreno 512 graphics chipset loaded with Android 8.1 Oreo. The handset is available in 3GB, 4GB, and 6GB RAM options consisting of 32GB and 64GB expandable storage capacities. The rear side offers a 12MP primary camera coupled with a 5MP secondary camera sensor. The selfie segment comprises of a 13MP camera with f/2.0 aperture. The handset fuels power via a 5000mAh battery.

Like in the case of all other updates, the Android 10 update will be made available in a phased manner. You will be able to view the OTA update notification after June 12 depending upon your region and location. The entire update process will take over 3 weeks to complete and you have to wait until the update is made available for your smartphone. Alternatively, you can also verify the presence of the update manually by tapping the Settings menu.
