Meizu has launched Meizu 15 in Black, White, Gold and Blue color variants in China unusually on Sunday. Normally, smartphone manufacturers don’t launch products on Sunday and Meizu has deviated from the rule. However, the company has launched the product to gain attraction during the weekend.
The Meizu 15 smartphone features a display with the normal 16:9 aspect ratio and the company has deviated from adopting 18:9 displays. Interestingly, the 15 model doesn’t ship with a notch on the top side like in the case of iPhone X and Vivo V9. The highlight of Meizu 15 is the addition of dual cameras on the rear.
Meizu 15 Specifications
The Meizu 15 features a 5.46-inch FHD Super AMOLED display with 16:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, the Meizu 15 is integrated with a Snapdragon 660 processor, 4GB RAM coupled with 64GB and 128GB internal storage. The chipset is manufactured using 14nm technology, which produces less power consumption.
The Meizu 15 carries dual cameras on the rear comprising of 12MP and 20MP sensors respectively. However, the 20MP sensor provides support for 2x telephoto lens. On the front, you will find the presence of a 20MP sensor. The noticeable point to note is that the phone doesn’t include support for EIS but it has built-in support for OIS. Moreover, the LED Flash contains 6 noticeable LEDs enclosed in the ring.
Unlike iPhone X, Meizu has retained the traditional headphone port and you will find a 3.5mm jack. The phone delivers power through the embedded 3000mAh battery. The product package includes a 24W charger.
Meizu 15 Pricing
Even though Meizu 15 has been launched, you will be able to purchase the device starting April 29. The standard 64GB model will cost CNY 2500, while the premium 128GB will cost CNY 2800. Meizu also launched 15 Plus and 15 Lite models but we will cover them in the next article.
