Nokia 8.1 and Nokia 4.2 Gets Better With Android June 2020 Security Update

HMD Global has started to roll out Android June 2020 security update for Nokia 8.1 and Nokia 4.2 smartphones. The latest update only provides the latest security patch under the name “Google Security Patch 2020-06” and measures 32.06MB. Moreover, the update doesn’t ship with any bug fixes and user interface improvements.

The company has pushed two variants of the Android update for the Nokia 4.2 smartphone. The June security patch measures 14.81MB in size. The second bout of the update under the tag name “Android 10 build version V2.320” provides improved system stability including user interface enhancements. The update also brings in the three buttons navigation system.

According to reports, the latest Android June 2020 security update is currently being rolled out in Poland, Serbia, Egypt, Bangladesh, and Poland. If you are located in these countries, you should be able to view the update message notification. You should follow the instructions displayed on the screen.

Even though the size of the Android June 2020 security update is less, Nokia has issued an advisory to make use of Wi-Fi to download the update. If you are using a stable 4G connectivity, then you can use the mobile data. We had used mobile date for the installation of the updates without any problem.

You should note that if you are outside your location, then you will have to pay additional charges on account of Roaming. It is also advisable to capture a backup of your important data although there won’t be any problem after the installation of the update.
