Oppo has launched the much-awaited Oppo F5 with 4GB and 6GB RAM capacities coupled with artificial intelligence-enabled camera. Touted as a successor to Oppo F3, the Oppo F5 is considered as a selfie-centric smartphone due to the integration of the powerful camera specific features. The main highlight of the smartphone is the integration of AI-enabled beauty technology on the front camera sensor.
Based on the latest technological trends, the Oppo F5 is equipped with a bezel-less slim display. The handset can be pre-ordered now and is available in dual RAM and storage variants. The company has released both 4GB and 6GB RAM variants. The premium 6GB RAM model is special because of the Red color.
Advanced beauty features
The main reason for the latest model to get much attention from the tech community is because of the fact that the front camera is integrated with an AI-based beauty technology. This feature is not available in any of the competing smartphones.
The camera offers more than 200 positioning spots, which enhances the quality of your facial expression. Moreover, the new technology is designed in such a way to sync with your nose, eyes and other parts of your head with accurate perfection. The end result is the production of not only clear but also perfect selfie. The new camera feature will surely set new benchmarks because none of the other companies have adopted AI on the camera.
As a result of the special beauty-iris mode, the captured selfie will be brighter than other the selfies produced by other smartphones. During the launch event, the company revealed that the front camera is designed in such a way that it is capable of recognizing extreme background lighting.
The camera will automatically infuse luminance to ensure delivery of enhanced selfies. The camera is capable of doing more such as capturing images with a Bokeh effect. Powered by a 3200mAh battery, the F5 series of Oppo phone provides support for all major connectivity features including sensors.
On the specifications front, the Oppo F5 features a 6-inch FHD+ display with a resolution of 2160×1080 pixels alongside MediaTek MT6763T processor. The handset is available in both 4GB and 6GB RAM variants comprising of 32GB and 64GB expandable internal storage capacities.
Massive front camera
Talking about the optics, the Oppo F5 includes a 16MP rear camera paired with a f/1.8 aperture with support for LED Flash. The front side offers a 20MP sensor with f/2.0 aperture. The phone is loaded with Android 7.1 Nougat but the UI is based on ColorOS 3.2, which provides advanced features with a fluent design.
The Oppo F5 is currently available for pre-order in Philippines from October 27 to November 3 at PHP 15990, which equates to $315. The handset will be available for sale starting November 4. Moreover, all customers who pre-order the smartphone will receive an Olike Bluetooth Speaker free of cost worth PHP 2990.
The 4GB RAM carries 32GB storage and is available in Black and Gold color variants at $315. However, the 6GB RAM is available in Red color with 64GB storage. However, the company hasn’t announced the pricing of the 6GB model.
