Sharp Aquos S3 is a new smartphone with a compact 6-inch display with a front-facing notch as seen in the recently released Vivo V9. The notch accommodates the front camera and all the required sensors. In this article, we will examine all aspects of the newly launched smartphone in FAQ format.

What about the display?

Sharp Aquos S3 features a 6-inch FHD+ display with a 91 percent screen-to-body ratio. The resolution of the display is 2160×1080 pixels.

What about the performance?

The Aquos S3 is integrated with a Snapdragon 630 processor, 4GB RAM coupled with a 64GB expandable internal storage. You will be able to extend the storage up to 128GB via microSD card.

How effective is the camera?

Like in the case of the Galaxy S9+, the Sharp Aquos S3 bears dual camera sensors comprising of a 12MP and 13MP sensors with support for f/1.75 aperture, 2x optical zoom alongside 6P lens. On the front, you will find a 16MP sensor with AI and Face Unlock capabilities. The aperture is f/2.0, which is adequate for capturing excellent selfies.

What’s the power source?

The Aquos S3 is infused with a 3200mAh battery with support for Quick Charge 3.0. The device will deliver a standby time of over 5 days upon normal usage.

Does Aquos S3 provide support for connectivity features?

Yes. Of course. In addition to Wi-Fi, the Sharp Aquos S3 offers support for Bluetooth, GPS, A-GPS, NFC, and GLONASS. The handset also includes support for sensors such as ambient light, gyroscope, fingerprint, proximity and the accelerometer.

How can I work with Sharp Aquos S3?

You will work with Sharp Aquos S3 using Android 8.0 Oreo, which is the brand new operating platform. Like Xiaomi’s MIUI, Sharp has loaded Smile UX.

How much should I pay to buy Sharp Aquos S3?

The Sharp Aquos S3 is currently available only in Taiwan. You can buy Black color variant starting April 1 at TWD 11990.
