Vivo has officially launched Vivo V9 Youth starting at Rs. 18990 in India. The main difference between Vivo V9 Youth and Vivo V9 is with the processor and camera. The smartphone ships with a 6.3-inch FullView display coupled with a notch. Moreover, the device beats a 16MP AI-enabled front camera with the dual camera on the rear.
The Vivo V9 Youth features a 6.3-inch FHD+ IPS display with 19:9 aspect ratio. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and carries a resolution of 2280 x 1080 pixels. Under the hood, the Vivo V9 Youth is powered by a Snapdragon 450 processor, Adreno 506 graphics, 4GB RAM, 32GB expandable (Up to 256GB) internal storage, 3260mAh battery loaded with Funtouch OS 4.0 based on Android 8.1 Oreo.
On the optics front, the Vivo V9 Youth features dual rear camera comprising of 16MP primary and 2MP secondary camera. If you look at the Vivo V9, the smartphone offers a 5MP sensor. The front-facing camera occupies a 16MP sensor with support for soft LED flash and facial recognition capability.
Commenting on the launch, Kenny Zeng, CMO, Vivo India disclosed that the Vivo V9 Youth offers best features of Vivo V9 in a brand new avatar to target young and modern customers. The Youth edition is a perfect smartphone for those consumers who would like to enjoy a holistic and powerful smartphone experience at a price they can afford.
The Youth model Vivo V9 measures 150 grams in weight and provides support for 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, GLONASS. The device also offers support for all major sensors including fingerprint.
The Vivo V9 Youth was first made available via Mahesh Telecom in Mumbai. However, the company has revealed that the smartphone will be available in Pearl Black and Champagne Gold color variants via Amazon India and Flipkart at Rs. 18990 with effect from April 24.
